Ed Baur is a former business owner in Colorado Springs who brings a business mindset and problem-solving experience to Olive Real Estate Group. Prior to joining Olive Real Estate Group, Ed was the managing partner at the Colorado Springs Lexus Dealership. He moved from the Northwest in 2010 and quickly fell in love with the community. He has served on several boards, supported many of the great charitable organizations and has built a solid foundation of clients in this community through his attention to detail, professionalism, and commitment to always put his client’s needs first.
Ed has earned his CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation, the industry’s gold standard for commercial real estate investment expertise. Through advanced training in financial analysis, market evaluation, and portfolio strategy, Ed applies data-driven insights to help clients make informed, profitable decisions. Fewer than 10% of commercial real estate professionals achieve the CCIM designation, placing Ed among an elite group of trusted investment advisors.
Ed is a graduate from the National Automobile Dealer Association Dealer Academy. Throughout his automotive career he has reinvented himself to adapt to new roles and market corrections with a problem-solving mindset. In the downturn of 2008 as Vice President of Operations for Kuni Automotive, Ed was responsible for a major shift in inventory levels, expense structure and the negotiation process in 12 dealerships in 4 Western states. The last 15 years in the automobile business included market research with the manufacturer, determining the ideal location for future growth and strategic acquisition of properties. All of which supported a logical transition to Commercial Real Estate.
His partnership philosophy, problem-solving mindset and real-world perspective are a great asset to his clients. Ed has an intimate understanding of the importance of follow-up and follow through, site location, market studies and market position. He also recognizes the significance of clear communication in all aspects of the negotiation.
Ed is well-known and respected throughout the community where he has been involved with and supported Goodwill of Colorado, Ronald McDonald House, Citizen Soldier Connection, Southern Colorado Auto Dealer Association and Couples Who Care. In his spare time, he enjoys adding sweat equity to his properties, fly fishing, exploring Colorado and traveling.
